Tears are falling as I’m typing this. No amount of words can express how grateful I am of this journey. This is something I will forever share to the world. That at one point in my life, I have waved my flag so high so the world could see. I have showed the world what we are able to do. I will forever be thankful of the experience.
To represent the Philippines is a great honor. To be called Mister Philippines and wear that sash that says Philippines has always been a great responsibility. But I must say, I was able to carry it with all the might that I have.
Man of the World and its advocacies are some of the things I firmly believe in this life. I am so passionate and really a give all when it comes to this. I am so proud to be part of a movement that sets high priority to education and the children.
Now, allow me to begin the roll call...
To my army, JPARMY! We have fought till the very end. We have conquered battles together. Thank you so much for this experience and the friendship. To my ever supportive Sir Ron and Jenny and the rest of my loving army, where will I be without you. You have fought battles for me. You made sure I was every bit of a king you have seen in me. Thank you for the unconditional support you have shown me. I know as I go on to the next chapter in life, you will always be with me.
To my family, especially my Mom Veronica who’s been a lot enthusiastic in this journey. Sorry if I turned you all into a pageant critic. You have grown so much love for pageants in you because of this experience. Thank you for always being an inspiration. I fought till the end not because I wanna give you that crown but I wanna give you that smile. Smile from within. I wanna make you proud!
The Vanguards family, where it all began. The belief and confidence in me is amazing beyond words. Thank you Sir Yhuong for seeing the potential in me and let me experience this all. We still made it. I hope I made you so proud.
PEPPS and Man of the World Organization, If only you can let me compete next year again, I would. Just to experience it one more time. I don’t think i’ll get over it anytime soon. Thank you for always reminding me what I am capable of. It was a good fight. It was the hardest fight a Man of the world Philippines has ever encountered but I fought till the end with you and for you. The day you placed that Philippine sash on me, it already changed my life. Sir Carlo, Sir Garcia R Ich, Kuya Aloysius James, Miss Marianne, Kuya Aski and Sir Japes A, all of PEPPS, you are family! I will always be your Man of the World Philippines and you will always have my support.
To my MOTW brothers, how did time fly so fast? All our memories will be forever cherished. My roomates Công Phát and Adel, you guys never put me to sleep but I love you!!!! I was so sad to see an empty room without you. You guys will always be brothers to me!!!! And to my sentimental favorites, Mathew,Carson, Christian, you know how much I appreciate you! The world is big but i’ll do my best to make it smaller. I will see you on the other side of the world. You made this experience extra amazing. My tummy hurts everytime with so much fun!
Also, sorry to miss, my best designer ever!!! You have been with me in this entire journey! Mikee Andrei thank you for always making sure I look dashing and confident. Love you!!!
This journey may have ended but the job and commitment never ends. It will always go on and I will always resonate love and inspiration. Fourth runner up finish is a win for me. I have have not have the crown on my head but a true Man of The World crown is inside your heart.
I have nothing in my heart but gratefulness! I am so grateful for all these things happening to me. Doing these things, I believe, would shape the future if we let it happen. I will let it happen.
Forever your Man of the World, forever yours Philippines,
JP OCAT, MAN OF THE WORLD PHILIPPINES!!!
