Niko Sofianos is a familiar model of a popular underwear when he became Mr. Canada. He competed in the 2001 edition of Mr. Intercontinental. He was one of the finalist and aside from that he won Mr. Congeniality and Mr. Physique. The winner of that year was Andreas Pandrick of Germany, Savio Bruto Da Costa- 1st RU from India, Cesar Augusato Suarez 2nd RU from Venezuela, Andres Dos Santos 3rd RU from Uruguay, and Ryan Pryanchikov 4th RU from Estonia.
