The longest running talent and personality search from its inception in 1990 is already a part of any pageant driven-watchers consciousness. From all the controversies and hullaballoos it has encountered in the past, your pageant archives will not be complete without mentioning Ginoong Filipinas. It has withered all the storms, and it is the most consistent because it has withstand a military coup where soldiers in full battle gear has roamed around the streets of Manila. The fans, the candidates and the organizers shrug the military presence like it was nothing while the contest without any hesitation continued at the UP Theater like nothing was going on.
When the economy hits its bottom peso-level, like a true survivor that he is, Ginoong Filipinas with its limited resources (unlike other contest who without batting an eyelash just decided not to hold any contest at all, ) GF prove to all and sundry that THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
Here's this years edition. Enjoy!
