-As long as people have been wearing undergarments, they have been sexualizing them. From knickers to chastity belts, we inevitably end up sexualizing the things that are intended to hide or suppress our sexuality. In the name of modesty, underwear acts as a final barrier between our bodies and the outside world. If the human body is a temple, underwear is the antechamber.

-The success of the Bench Blackout Underwear and Denim Show that filled Araneta Coliseum to the rafters proves the point. With almost a 100 percent attendance from the hunk lists of both ABS CBN and GMA ( except perhaps for John Lloyd and Piolo Pascual who has early appointments) a truckload of the country's Adonises have descended including the gods from the fashion industry) to Araneta Coliseum to have themselves counted.

-And to Ben Chan and the rest of his cohorts, it should not be a once in two year fashion rendezvous.

-An annual fashion extravaganza is not maybe too much to ask.
