Rakesh Bapat was first runner-up to Abhijit Sanyal in Grassim Mr. In dia 1999. He was sent to Germany for the Mr. Intercontinental pageant in the same year, and amid the spectrum of worthy competetors Rakesh emerge from his shell to become the first runner-up, the second best from a long list of hunky specimen.. It was a triumph for Rakesh, and when he went back to India where else do you expect him to be? Showbiz and Bollywood of course!And from there, there is no stopping Rakesh. His first baptism of Bollywood bug was Divil Pyar Vyar in 2001. Then it was followed by Wrong Number in 2003, Naam Gum Jaayega in 2005 and Jai Santoshi Maa in 2006. For a young and a determined guy, there is no place for him but UP!
