David Cano is a model from Guatemala, and if you look at him he is a good looking young man ready to seize the day. When he was send to compete for the Mr. World Model 2007 which was held in his home backyard, one can say he had taken the task seriously. There was a hometown advantage that he had to consider, but he brushed the idea with a shrug of his shoulder. He dismissed the thought because he believed that in order for someone to succeed, he had to work hard for it. His goal was simple focus ... focus .... focus. He doesn't want to be sidetracked. And indeed his hard work paid off. He was proclaimed 3rd runnerup in the recently concluded Mr World 2007. The top man in the totem pole was again Mr. Venezuela - Alberto Garcia- Mr. World Model 2007. Other winners were Alonso Fernandez Alvarez of Costa Rica (1st R U), Elvis Altamirano of Nicaragua (2nd R U) and David Cano of Guatemala (3rd R U). What made David doubly happy was his selection as Mr. Photogenic in the same contest.
