The friendly rivalry between Bebot Ferrer and Mother Childe heats up again this year in GF 1998. Harold Pineda (Bebot's ward) and Rommel Gumpad (Mother Childe's anak) again arm wrestled for the top slot in this years contest and Harold prevailed as GF 1998 and Rommel Gumpad was GF Tursimo. After that, Harold Pineda went to Los Angeles to compete in Mr. Asia Pacific and broke the myth that no country will ever have a back to back win (Roger Salinas won the title last year) in any contest. Well the record was busted ... thanks to you Harold!
After the victorious and almost a unanimous win in Mr. Asia Pacific Pacific Harold had to rush back to Manilas as film assignments were waiting. He tried the bold route and was deluged with a lot of film assignments.
